Siren’s Cove

This large pastel on paper is a concentration in perspective, form, texture and light. The warped, fish-eyed like perspective lends the movement to expand beyond the borders and adds motion to the sky, waves and water.

The live figure drawing was adapted to a classically arched position mimicking the clouds, rock arch and point breaks carrying that form through the drawing. In her hands she holds the earth and moon representing the tidal constituents that help form coastal surf breaks.

Mounted on wood panel and framed in 1″ x 3″ dark walnut.
